The digital India initiative has pushed the widespread use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the teaching and learning process. The ePathshala, a collaboration between the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), was created to showcase and disseminate all educational e-resources, including textbooks, audio, video, periodicals, and a variety of other digital resources.
The ePathshala Mobile app is also designed to help accomplish SDG 4: equitable, quality, inclusive education and lifelong learning for all people, as well as closing the digital divide. Students, Teachers, Educators, and Parents can access eBooks on a variety of technology platforms, including mobile phones and tablets (as epub) and laptops and desktops via the online site (as Flipbook).
Users of ePathshala can also carry as many books as their device allows. Users can pinch, choose, zoom, bookmark, highlight, navigate, share, listen to text utilizing text to speech (TTS) apps, and take digital notes with these books’ features.
